I do most of my riding at night, that's when I'm available the most. But sometimes I'll take a trip and ride during the day. I have persimmon lenses and sometimes it just feels like it's not cutting it. What could I get to replace them and still be user friendly at night? A buddy of mine as the Pink iridium ones and complains about too much glare on sunny days.

Pink Iridiums don't cut bright sunlight well, as they are basically mirrored persimmon lens. They are as expensive as two pairs of non-polarized, but you might give the Hi-Intensity Amber Polarized lens a good look if you really want to go night-to-day, low-to-bright. It is a contrasty lens, good low-light performance, and the polarization will make bluebird, sunny day glare fairly easy on the eyes. Might be worth a look.

There really is no way to cut out the glare of sunny days while still transmitting enough light for night skiing. Polarized is an option though, since it does help with glare. The HI Yellow is by far my favourite Oakley lens, since it is awesome for everything up to medium bright days. After that it starts getting hard on the eyes. You just have to think, what is more important to you, that you do more, night or sun?
