What is the difference between this ski and last year's model? Any significant changes or just the graphic?

this is rossi's description for rocking chair effect: "Aka the "ollie" effect. All SAS models have softer flexing tips and tails, and a stiffer mid-section. This allows the skier to load the tips or tails to spring onto a rail or boost out of the half pipe, and improves skier balance." Rossi's name for rocker is "amp-tech" it has nomal camber underfoot and then revers camber along with early taper in the tip and tails the s3 last year was essentially a park ski. the ski this year is not only wider by 8cm but has that "amp-tech" technology in it, so you could say they are two different skis entirely

Alright guys, if I'm wrong I am wrong, thanks for correcting me. I don't want anyone to buy the wrong gear. I just remember our tech telling me that last years S3 had Rossi's Rocking Chair Effect, which basically is early rise tip and tail rocker if I am not mistaken. They still have that, still have the traditional camber, have larger dimensions and a different graphic. That is all I was saying.

I disagree Shane, these are completely different from last years. This year is wider, with early rise in the tip and tail and traditional camber underfoot. The S3 is basically the lil bro to the S7.

This years ski is totally different from last years. Last year had smaller dimentions and regular camber. This years has rocker in the tips and tails, and camber underfoot. Rossi made this ski into more of a powder board than last years.

I am pretty sure last season's waist was only at a 90mm, and this season is up to the 98mm. Other than that width increase and the graphic change, they are about the same.
