I have wore out two pairs of Gore Tex XCR with the Boa system. What is different about the Boa ll? After a few months of use the Boa system pull and push button got harder to pull on both of my pairs. And I have broken the wire on the pair I have now, but I just tied the ends together and it still is holding. I want to get another pair, but I am not sure about the wire system, although I love the quick in and out of the system.

Strange. I've had 3 pairs of North Face Boa shoes and the lacing system has never malfunctioned. In fact, it was the shoe fabric that wore out to a point that I couldn't wear the shoe any longer, not the Boa system. These are GREAT shoes for someone who likes to get up and go, without the hassles of tying laces. It provides a better all around fit than regular laces too....but really, it's the lazy mans dream!
