I've heard from many people that the brim gets in the way of putting your goggles up. How true is this? can this problem be avoided? i like the brim look but its a pain if i can't put my goggles up.
also, how would these fit with dragon maces?

Def not a major problem. Well worth it for the brim.

I actually like the brim b/c it allows me to lock my goggles on a little better without the fear of them falling off from being too loose.

You have to pull your goggles out a little further than normal but other than that they work fine. The nice thing is they won't snap back in your eyes when you're not expecting it. I would trade the comfort level over this minor detail any day but yes it is different.

I use Smith's I/O goggles with my Variant Brim and I can rest my goggles on top of the brim. However, if i start a bumpy run or shake my head quickly, they might fly back. My Smith Prodigy goggles do the same. I wear my helmet 12hrs a day while I am working and my goggles rest up there when it gets dark. Angus said it best when he wrote, "keep them balanced".

When I first got this helmet, my Oakley Stockholm straps didn't quite stretch over the brim, but after a couple of days they go over fine, my goggles sit just above the brim without pinging off the back of my head (embarrassing at line up) and now I wouldn't buy any other helmet!

I've got this helmet and the brim hasn't been a problem. It's a little inconvenient, but not really an issue. It's just a little tricky to keep them balanced on the brim.

You can't put your goggles up, unless you have a super stretchy or long goggle strap. The brim is too big to allow that. One way around that is to unhook your chin strap and push your goggles onto your forehead, which is what I do. Another route to go is bring your goggles down around your chin area, but I find this harder to pull off and get back on. The Mace does fit in this, with minimal-no gap at all.
