Does this jacket offer any kind of material around the chin to resist chaffing? None of the pictures anywhere seem to show the interior around the neck.
Also, would you consider this more of a skiing jacket or one for backpacking, etc. I'm trying to find something to ski in, but I'm not sure if that is its intended use.

i use this jacket for skiing. it doesnt have a powder skirt, or zip in, so look into bibs if you will be in deep snow, or fear snow crack. i used a backcountry stoic 2.0 M all summer for hiking. I'm pretty sure there is a small fleece lining around the chin. i have the latest version of the jacket in the mail currently. im not sure it has fleece, but im at work, and my jacket is at home. at any rate, the material never bothered my face like some shells without a fleece lining has.

This jacket has some brushed fleece which is very comfortable and protects chin from chaffing. This jacket is designed for skiing. It has a powder skirt and cuffs with thumb holes.
