I hear that this runs a bit small. I'm 5'6 135lbs, should I get a small or a medium. I do want something fitted but not if it's going to be too tight and restrictive. I'm wearing it as a base layer so it should be some what tight but am afraid that a small may be too small.

I'm 5'9 150lbs and I got a medium. I based it off of the chest measurement though because that's where I tend to have the most issues because of my athletic build. That said, the chest fits me perfect but the arms and the overall length of the piece are a bit too long. It also stretches quite well so I doubt it'll be restrictive if you do have a tight fit. It's very soft and the white in the white/pool combo is somewhat see through. I'd say go with a small based on what you've shared.
