Has anyone had a dog who used their Ruffwear Web Master Dog Harness in the water? Our 12 1/2 yr old Chessie has nerve and muscle degeneration in his rear legs, but he acts as though he is still in the prime of his life. We would love to find an all-in-one product that could go from land to water and allow us to give him the extra hand that he requires from time to time.
Is the fleece removable if it becomes soiled? Is there reason to believe that the harness would become severely water logged? Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.

I have a 95lb Great Dane/Lab mix who swims in this harness all the time. I just take it off and hang dry it when I have the chance. The adjustments do slip around a slight bit after a long swimming session, but never loosen enough to come off.

I don't think it would absorb much water, as long as you took it off your dog and let it air dry after getting wet! Mine has been rained on with no problem! I think this would be a great product for your dog- the handle on top of the harness is excellent for lifting assistance!
