I wouldn.t recommend them for cycling. The main reason is you can't use a padded tight underneath them and a padded short above doesn't make the job either. The other reason is the biomecanic of the sport, which is not at all camparable with running. In cycling, you don't need any stabilization of the leg segments because there's no vertical bottom/up impact going up through three different joints : ankle, knee and hip. The only joint issue you could have is something you have to adress through the shoes.

These will work great. I recommend wearing your normal (tight) spandex shorts with a chamois under them. That way you get the padding from your shorts with the warmth of the tights. It should work out great for you. Thanks
