Anyone use both the first version of the SPOT and this new version? Is it worth upgrading to the new SPOT?

Yeah, I have Spot 1 and the new Spot works quite a bit better, what I mean by this is the signal is improved. Also, a new road side assistance feature for $30.00 annually, and the buttons and lights are better to understand. The only draw back is Backcountry is the mot expensive place to buy the Spot 2 at the moment many other places put the new Spot 2 at $149.99
