What is the level of insulation in these? Would these qualify as light / medium / heavy long underwear? Thanks!

These are medium weight. They'd be too heavy under insulated pants in all but the coldest weather.

I had this + gore tex pro shell (beta ar) and skiied in a 17-30F weather. Slightly chili on the lift but perfect while skiing. I tried putting on another merino layer (tight base layer) on top of this but found it uncomfotable - maybe a loose mid layer would've been better
