How easy is it to get your camera out of the bag on the fly? Do you have to take the bag off and take out that inner bag or is there an easy access zipper?
Also 2000cu seems rather large. Is there a smaller version for someone that might have 1 camera and maybe 1 additional lens and some ski gear?

it was a little too big for my own travleing needs. I am sure it is a great backpack, but too bulky for my airport travel needs.

Yes, you have to take the pack off your back. The pack has a rear entry that accesses the block. You don't have to remove the block. Dakine also makes the mission that is 1500 cu.inches as opposed to 2000cu.
