I am sorely tempted by these skis to replace my BD Crossbows. I like the CBs for their quickness and versatility, but they sink a bit in pow and get banged around some in crud. I am 5'9", 155lbs - any advice on length for the RT86 for 50/50 Utah resorts and backcountry with big boots (EnerG)

The RT 86 is a great ski for UT, esp. if you want it for both in & out of bounds. More float than the CB, super quick with a bunch of sidecut. At your size, if you lean toward aggressive skiing, you could consider the 183 as well. Either length would be good. Enjoy!

If this is the ski you want to go with, considering your height and weight, and that you seem like a strong/aggressive skier (since you mention skiing the backcountry), I would say go with the 176cm size. The size will be versatile for you in all areas.
