Right now I'm looking at both this and the Backcountry Shift Welder Hoody, is one going to be warmer on its own then the other? I would like to use this every day use during the winter as well as for skiing, so any feedback is appreciated.

I am actually headed home from a trip to Copper mountain and Winter Park. My two days at Cooper were spent in 30 degree sun and this jacket was wonderful over just a long sleeve and short sleeve T. I really like this jacket's ability to handle all weather conditions. Used it several times this year shoveling snow in the east. Very comfortable! I'm 5'10" and 208lbs, if I could I would swap my XL for just the L. There is more than enough room to layer!
