Are these the same material as the technical knicker bike shorts? If so, do they have a similarly-gusseted rear end? I like the knicks, and could use a long pair, too.

Dear Matt, Thank you for supporting Polartec(r) by wishing to purchase products using our fabric! These pants are made from Polartec(r) Power Shield(r) and the term stretch woven means that they have great stretch for a high range of movement, as you would need while climbing or hiking. We have developed some styles of Power Shield that provide the same great abrasion resistance and weather protection, but allow much more stretch and movement. The stretch woven Power Shield fabric is a little lighter in weight than some other Power Sheild fabrics, however for this reason the fabric is perfect for garment such as these pants. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Best Regards, John John Brodie Polartec, LLC 46 Stafford St Lawrence, MA 01841
