Actually, I own both the Beta SL and the Beta AR in size small, and the AR is a bit longer and slightly roomier than the SL. It's not a big difference, but probably 1/2" longer.

Arc'teryx made the Beta AR and Beta SL the same length, it's just fabric and features that differentiate them.
