Are the Croc gaiters waterproof? Am wanting to use these for BC skiing and hiking. Hiking conditions range from spring/summer to wet to winter hiking in snow. Most backcountry time is spent in CO Rockies. Are the Verglas a better alternative -- their specs say waterproof.

Thanks, Steve. This helps. And, it's nice to know about the crampons.

These gators are fantastic! They're completely waterproof. My wife and I both have croc's and we hike in all four seasons in them. My wife has personally had her leg submerged up to about 3 or 4 inches below the top of the gator for about a minute and she was bone dry underneath. The only thing these don't hold up to are snags on crampons, but they repaired very easily. Hope that helps.
