Hey Sean, if you're still out there I have a Esquire (Burton),XL and I too am 6'1". I was 235lbs am now 190 and the jacket still fits great. I also have a L size (different jacket but still Burton) for the less bulky days!

Hey Sean, You're right on the edge of both sizes. It really depends on how you like your jackets to fit. If you like them on the snug side, or like a more athletic fit then I'd go with the L. I prefer this type of jacket to have a little room so with that I'd go with an XL. They do fit really true to size according to the chart up-top. Hope that helps.
