Well, I am looking at these shoes for our winter here in Northern Virginia.
My husband and I want a good pair to do our walking in winter around here.
We get a couple of good snow storms here near the Blue Ridge mountains, so all of you up north, stop laughing. :-D
How are these shoes on ICE? or icy areas?

I have a few pair of these shoes and they are great in snow. But for walking long distances say for fitness they are not a good pair. They do not give you very much support. Especially if you have a high instep. As for on ice, they are only a little better but you still slip a lot. They really get excellent traction on steep snowy inclines. They do have a roomy toe box so your feet do stay warm. I use them to run around in the snow mostly. I would recommend them for sure and if you wanted the ice traction add some stabilicers.
