I cannot get the T3 to read my HR consistently/correctly while swimming. I assumed that being water resistant and having so many other features that triathletes would use this for all events. I had the hard strap and now have the comfort strap. Has anyone gotten this to work for swimming?

This problem is due to the fact that the radio signal emitted by the chest strap can't travel through water. Suunto makes a Memory belt that has internal memory, so can record your HR while swimming, then be downloaded for analysis. The Memory belt will also send a signal to the watch while you're on dry land.
