My Spinning bike has a Star Trac monitor attached. Will the Suunto t1c heart monitor sync to this unit?

The Suunto T1c won't sync to this monitor. The t3c, t4c and t6c do have sync-ability, but I believe it's only to other Suunto pods, for speed and distance.
