the Arc'teryx Kappa SV has 200gm insulation, and the Atom 60gm. So, it's more than twice as thick, and also built with windstopper. The Kappa isn't bulky for it's warmth (laminated insulation means even warmth; no cold spot where the baffles are stitched), but it's more of a stand-alone warm jacket, whereas the Atom is designed to be a mid-layer as well as a light outerwear jacket.
