I live in an area where it can be between 15-30 degrees in the winter. Would this keep me warm in those temperatures or should I go with the Arcteryx Kappa?

It depends on what you plan on doing while wearing this jacket. Just standing around? Casual wear? Probably not (I wore mine over just a t-shirt to go shooting in 30-40 degree temps yesterday and was a little chilly after about 45 minutes). But if you're going to be running, snowshoeing, cross country skiing or something equally active, you'll be fine. This jacket really was built for more active pursuits (love the underarm stretch panels!), but with a shell could be just what your looking for in that temperature range.
