Is this ski too Wide for an everyday ski? Is it too wide to be your only ski? Is it too wide to make tight turns?

Hey Sam- I live in Breckenridge CO and I've been skiing hard pack(unfortunately- no new snow) on the BC's all early season. I think they are great all around skis for someone that is on the hill a lot and has skied wider skis before (wider than lets say 100cm waist). I've been skiing wide skis all around and everyday for the past two years and I think the Chetler's are the best I've skied so far. I'm coming off of Volkl Sumos and Scott P4's from past years. The ski is super stable, does short turns very well, and high speed is not a problem. Van't wait to get them in some real pow though!

If I went for the JJ, should I go for the 175 or the 185, I'm 5' 10" and 185, I know bc the skis are rocker they ski shorter, not sure what I should do.

You can make any type of turn on it you want, as long as you are aggressive enough, and you ride the ski instead of the other way around. Personally, unless you ski a ton of snow on a daily basis, I would look elsewhere for a quiver of one ski. Maybe the JJ from Armada, since it has the same design philosophy, in a smaller more everyday package.
