How does this handle warmer weather? I'd like to use it even in 70 degree heat. Is it going to be too hot for that or does it work well even in that kind of heat?

Not to be contrary but if it's lightweight merino wool it would be completely fine in 70 degree weather as long as you're not running sprints. I've gone hiking in Phoenix in heavier weight merino than this and had the temps go from upper 40's at base in the morning to upper 70's lower 80's after going up a thousand feet and found that the wool pieces regulated the heat very well. The sleeves should be stretchy enough to push up to help dump heat. If you're still concerned about it being too warm, get the quarter zip version so you can get rid of even more heat if necessary.

I think it'll be far too warm for that kind of heat, it's meant to be a winter baselayer, not a wicking warm weather layer.
