I am 5'3",143Ibs. If I follow the sizing chart, I should get a XL, but my another piece of OR fleece jacket is a size L (the under arm area has plenty space left). For this jacket, should I get a size L?

Hi Dawn - wouldn't go with the XL - give the large a shot.
