Does anyone know if this jacket is water repellent and/or wind resistant?
I'm in the market for athletic fit down and looking at this as a primary winter jacket (without a shell).

Mine does a decent job of blocking the wind and will shed fine particles of water but they will start soaking through after a short period of time.

It's got a DWR finish so it sheds light rain for a little while. It's not very wind resistant.

I was out in some very cold rain with it last weekend and it shed water okay. It absorbed a little water in some areas but did fine for the conditions. I wouldn't recommend taking it into any kind of persistent downpour though.

The Zeus uses a very lightweight fabric which is mildly water and wind resistant. It works great in cold but dry conditions or as a layering piece under a shell. If you're looking for a down piece to use as outerwear in wet conditions check out the Mountain Down Jacket from Marmot. It has a Membrain shell.
