Depends on the size of the adults and child. However, it's probably a little too small for the child. With my wife (5'8" 120 lbs) and I (6'1" 210lbs) it is perfect size. Not too big, not too small. Our Big Agnes King Solomon sleeping bag basically takes up all the floor space in the tent. Hope that gives you a better idea of the size.
