Iam building a rock wall attached to my kids play area. I just do not know how many hand holds and how to space them to make the wall sutable for children.

Give them options everywhere, and all over the place. They are creative. Not enough, add more. Too many, unbolt a few. Change it up every now and then. Give them a challenge. Make those little brains work. Hand holds make great foot holds, but not vice versa.If you want something more like climbing a real wall check out a local climbing gym to get a better idea.
