I just purchased the The North Face Insulated Grace Jacket and was wondering if I should have purchased this instead. I live in Washington, DC and although we don't get Chicago weather we do endure some pretty nasty winters with temps ranging from the teens to the twenties. Did I make the right decision for warmth when walking my dogs and walking to and from the metro?

Hello - here are my suggestions to you: if you get cold a lot, or are outside for long periods of time in the middle of the winter, and don't mind a little additional bulk, then I would probably move to the Arctic Parka - it will certainly keep you warmer with less need to do more layering. On the other hand, if you don't mind adding a more substantial layer under it on the coldest days, the Insulated Grace is the more versatile piece for more of the winter and the shoulder seasons. Unless you are a person that gets cold very frequently, I actually this level of insulation will work very well for you. Hope this helps-
