I have a pair of Voile Drifters (125-128 underfoot) on the way and I am interested in equipping them with Dynafit...but I have heard that Dynafit is not the way to go with a wide ski. Any advice?

I've been using FT12s on big skis in the Wasatch with no problems. I say go for it.

One other thing to think about is the standard brake is not wide enough for the Drifter, you can try the wider size which might bend out to fit, but I am just going to use a Black Diamond ski leash.

I bought the Drifters this year and have owned Dynafits for 4 years. I love my Dynafits they are super light and boom-prof. I got my Dynafits mounted on my Drifters and consider it the perfect backcountry set up for me. As far as boots, yeah get something stiffer if you are going to ski on the hard-stuff, but if you only go out on the powder I don't think you need super-stiff boots.

They will work just fine, I would recommend a stiff A/T boot to drive the wider underfoot of your specific ski.
