I have a Platypus Hydration Pack and I don't want the bite valve, just want a "turn on--turn off" valve, because I intend to use the pack to water my hunting dogs when afield--will this Shut Off Valve repalce the bite valve and will it work as I wish/have described??

If you do not attach the bite valve to it you can just use it as a on/off valve, it will be a small stream though and your thirsty dogs may encourage you to give the bladder a squeeze so the water comes out faster.
