I have never tucked my pants into my boots and I usually wear flare pants. I am moving to Alaska for the winter. Will these boots be good under my pants in Alaska's -30 degree weather? How warm are they?

Ok good answer but I bought the shoes already! Ha, so I looked at the boots you recommended and they look like they would keep my feet warm, so I will probably get a pair, however, is there a good sock or something I can wear under these boots because I really like them? What is the best way to make them work in Anchorage?

Hello- for the type of temperatures that you are talking about, I don't think that this boot will be suitable with 200 grams of insulation. Many other North Face boots have twice that amount, and I think they will be more appropriate for cold Alaska winter conditions. Here are some suggestions for 400 gram or more insulated boots: -North Face Greenland Zip Boot -North Face McMurdo Boot -North Face Four Shadows Boot Any of these will work fine under pants. Hope this helps
