I want something that want leak. The description doesn't state what waterproof breathable membrane this gloves uses. How water proof is this glove?

But the XCR version does not have a removable liner, is that correct?

If concern about these gloves becoming wet is causing anyone to lose sleep, then check out Hestra's Gore-Tex version which is called the "Trigger Gore-Tex XCR Shell Glove". It comes in black, has the same 3-finger design and it's been used with great success in the Southern Ocean portions of the Volvo Around-The-World Races.

This is not waterproof in that it has a membrane. It is waterproof since it is leather. I have these and love them. I once hucked a cliff and a rock caught my skis and I was in the pow digging them out for 20-30 min. After that I noticed they were wet around the seams, but they stayed warm and I did not notice them being wet inside. Hope that helps.
