So im going to South Korea in the winter, weather ranges from 25 to 69 degrees Fahrenheit, usually at its lowest away from the capital(Seoul). i've been looking at this jacket, The North Face Apex Bionic Thermal, The North Face Men's Nuptse Jacket, The North Face Mens Redpoint Jacket , and finally The North Face Men's Apex Bionic Hoodie.....anyone have any suggestions??

I would just tweak Dave's detailed answer to add on the Nuptse that rain and down coats do not mix--at all, I'd take that one out of the running. Jackets like the Bionic really rely on how well you layer for the temperature. They block wind which helps a ton in keeping you warm, but if it's below say 40 and you aren't moving, if you're just standing around, you'll get cold if you don't have proper layers on underneath. I'm assuming the hood on the Bionic hoodie is going to look a bit "scuba" not that there's anything wrong with that, in worst conditions keeping your head windproof warm would be very nice.

Hello- All of these jackets have pretty different properties to them, so let me give you some extra info: -Denali Hooded - warm enough for your temperature range, you would probably need a shell to give you extra wind/rain or snow protection -Bionic Thermal - not quite as warm as the Denali, but better wind/wet weather protection. Good all around choice. -Nuptse - warmest of the bunch, but only really useful at the lower part of your temp range - maybe 25-35. -Redpoint Jacket - Very versatile piece for your temp range- warm, good wind protection. Not waterproof , but good DWR treatment. -Bionic Hoodie - another good all around performer, doesn't have the high loft fleece that the Bionic Thermal has, so you will have to layer under this one more than any of the others at the lower temp range. All in all, I think the Redpoint and the Bionic Thermal would probably be the most versatile for this trip. Hope this helps-
