I'm thinking about getting the La Sportiva Wildcat shoe. I'm currrently running in Asics Trail attack WR 5. They feel great and I have no problem with it. But I'm now looking for a more solid shoe with the same amount of couscioning and more durability. Will the wildcat do the deal? Size wise are they the same as Asics? Pros and cons compared to the Asics I'm using now? I'm 6-3 180, run 45 miles a week and planning to increase the mileage. Thanks

Hi Eddy, I have not used the Asics, but can compare the Wildcat with quite a few trail running models from Nike and TNF. All in all the Wildcat performs well from the word go and did not need any breaking in at all. It also excels in warmer temperatures ( I work in the middle east where temps easily reaches 130 + degrees) and found that even with the snug fit of the wildcat they "breathed" well and did not have any "hot spots" at all. I am 5,8, weigh in at 200lbs and do about 24 miles a week and can't complain. The only improvement I could see to the wildcat is perhaps the addition of a pull tab on the heel of the shoe, but it certainly isn't a show-stopper. Hope this helps?
