I had been renting MSR's all last winter, so I purchased the MSR Women's 22" Lightning Ascent Snowshoes toward the end of the season. Long story short, they both are for the left foot, not left and right. That's why I got such a good price. I love the fit, the traction, and even how easy they slip on and off. My questions is: Is there a way to get just the bindings for the right foot if I should want to do so in the future? Or, is there a way to just get one right snowshoe instead of the pair? Thanks!

Dunno about the women's, but my men's appear to be almost symmetrical. The over-the-foot buckles are different left-to-right, but the plastic is the same. You could drill out the rivets and swap the buckles left to right on one binding. The only asymmetry I see in the plastic foot-wrap is a small tab that keeps the tension buckle on the heel strap on one side. You could probably make the required loop on the other side out of a piece of leather or urethane-coated nylon (eg. gaiter instep straps) etc.

Dee, Interesting situation. Technically speaking, the snowshoes are not left or right specific, but MSR does recommend wearing them such that the tension buckle on the heel is on the inside of the foot. Retail stores will sell snowshoes in a pair, so if you're looking for a single shoe or a binding change-out, I would suggest contacting MSR. They may have other suggestions as well. The store that you bought them from may be able to do something for you as well if you complain that they sold you a mismatched pair. Good luck!
