I'm interested in purchasing this jacket but don't know what size to get. I'm 5'5", about 145 lbs, and about a size 6. I do like to wear bulky sweaters/fleece/sweatshirts under my jackets. The north face sizing chart says I should get a medium, but I'm not sure that will fit if I like to wear bulky clothes, according to all the reviews below. What do people recommend?

Im 5'3 and 150lbs (hour glass, size 10 pants, 36D) and I bought the large at first, because I too layer like crazy in the winter months but when I got it, it was too large, so large that I could feel the cold air sweep inside the coat :( I returned it and bought a medium and its perfect- I can layer a fleece and sweatshirt under the coat and it fits great.

Hi - if you are going frequently wear layers with this jacket, then stick with the medium for sure.
