From anyone's experience do you find that it offers any sort of aid to supporting calves at all? I know it just touches upon them, but I was wondering if it still did anything from there...

Hi There. The 3/4 Stabilyx tight does not offer any calves support. You will have to go to the Full length version for that. The patented CW-X support web is based on Kinesio Taping techniques that trainers use to support specific muscles, create better circulation, muscle efficiency, etc. The calves support in the full length CW-X tights is very good and creates all the benefits of Kineseo taping but it's built into the garment. As Greg mentioned above, the other option is to wear the CW-X Compression support sock with a 3/4 Stabilyx Tight. I usually pull my socks just over the botom of the 3/4 tights to keep both the sock and the tight in place and aligned properly. Backcountry does not have the socks in stock yet, but you can find them online or go though the CW-X website. Good luck.

I have a full length version of the CW-X pants and I don't really see that much support in the calves. I doubt there will be that much support on your calves with these pants, especially at the 3/4 length. Have you tried the compression socks? I find that those help a good amount.
