Yes, it has the same bi-concentric arch as the sandals. I have found, of the shoes I have tried on, this particular shoe best mimics the sandal fit. The design of the laces allows you to make the majority of the shoe as wide or narrow as you need to. Also, the heel is nice a low so it doesn't interfere with the ankle bone. Other chacos I've tried seem to be narrow. Also, buy your size in the sandal- they do not run small or narrow. The tread is a great soft, grippy tread that for everyday use is perfect and safe. It's not for major hiking, but even kicking around the local nature trails, this shoe holds up just fine!
