Hi There. Fit is a personal preference thing, so it's tough to say if something works for one person, if it will work for another. CW-X Pro shorts are worn by Ultra marathon runners and adventure racers all across the country with great success, while other people feel chaffing in the crotch seam after an afternoon run. It's very strange. I would say that the benefits you get from wearing a support short like the Pro short are especially useful for longer runs. The patented muscle support system allows the muscles to be more efficient during movement and minimizes fatigue over time bacause your muscles don't have to work as hard over time. The key is getting the right fit. I am 5'11 and 168lbs. I wear a medium short and tight. Anyone over 6'1 or over 175 lbs should be in a large. The shorts fit snug but not too tight. They feel very supportive and I have never had any chafing issues in the crotch seam. Sometimes wearing a thin sport brief under the tights or shorts helps also. Good luck!
