I'm 5'9 and 195 and I need the extra large. 44 inch chest 34 inch waist. The Large fits very tight on me. I understand it's supposed to fit close to the body but the Large hugs me too much.

I wear a Med in the Arc'teryx Rho LTW, and I'm nearly the same size. It will still fit closely, but not be constricting.These are sweet shirts!

Go for a Large if you wear it in active situations such as requiring arm extension of torso bend (i.e. nordic skiing, alpine skiing, climbing, etc...)
