Just answered your question somewhere else on this page. The weight is 2lb, 4oz... and this would be a great down jacket for cold days on the Kaiparowits. If you did not want to take down... check out the Hooded Compressor Jacket from Hardwear as well. It won't be as warm due to the amount of insulation but it would work well for the use you describe.
