I need a waterproof jacket for trekking in Nepal end October, weather willl be almost 0 or just under in the morning and evening and day time could rise to 15 degree C. Will this jacket be suitable or the Alpha SL jacket which has 2 layer Gotex. Also I do not know whether the size and length of these 2 jackets are the same as I have tried the LT jacket in Singapore but they do not have my size XS in Black. i have not seen the SL jacket before, and wonder if the size are the same.

The sizing between the Arc'teryx Alpha LT and Alpha SL will be the same. You'll get a better performing jacket in the Alpha LT due to the Gore Pro-Shell being much more durable and a bit more breathable. I just had a good friend take my Alpha LT to Nepal for a month, and he said it worked perfectly in a wide range of conditions, and loved that it packed down so small.
