It really depends on if your child can hold his/her own head up yet. This pack is not designed to carry a baby under 6 months old.

Well it mentions that the max child weight would be 50 lbs. But also here are the dimensions of the pack. Hopefully that helps? Dimensions 19 x 15 x 30 inches
