would this be warmer than something like the redpoint jacket? i noticed they have the same amount of primaloft (100g). thanks!

Yes it is warmer than the redpoint! The mercurial side is meant to keep you cooler.

I have the TNF Plasma and TNF Thunder, and this Mercurial jacket is warmer. Of course you have to cover your head on a very cold day. I think this jacket is a little bit over priced. Nevertheless, I like wearing it better than plasma and thunder. It looks a little formal than the other two. Not sure about the mercurial side yet. Its too bright for me.
