The Nano is a goretex paclite shell, and the Mica is a very thin Marmot MemBrain Strata. The Mica breathes ok, but goretex should breath a lot better. Also, the Nano should be more durable. The advantage of the Mica over the Nano is that it easily packs down to smaller than your fist. Both have similar features as far as a minimalist approach to zippers, etc, but the Mica has normal placement of pockets, whereas the Nano has alpine pockets.
