Im looking for a bag to take with me for winter camping above the tree line in the Sierra Nevadas... I have some pretty burly down clothing that I could supplement this bag with.... Will this be enough warmth?

Ditto what Jeff said. Winter camping above treeline in the Sierras... you don't always know when the weather would turn for the worst.

If you're going to be exposed to freezing winter temperatures above timberline in any mountain range, I'd choose a warmer bag. A -15/-20 bag will keep you toasty & possibly save your life. You don't want to cut corners on your cocoon! I think this would be a better/safer choice: http://www.backcountry.com/outdoorgear/MontBell-UL-Super-Stretch-Down-EXP-Hugger-Sleeping-Bag-20-Degree-Down/MTB0043M.html
