I'm looking for some lightweight long johns for hiking and biking around Iceland in november - my research indicates that either the Icebreaker BodyFit 200's or the SmartWool Lightweight Bottoms are the way to go. Can someone who has tried both chime in with their opinion on which is better?

Question number two I unfortunately have to wear a light knee brace while exercising - would it be a problem wearing that over a pair of light long johns?

I have both the Icebreaker and SmartWool long bottoms and think they are both high quality items in both fabric and construction and could recommend either of them. I do however prefer my Icebreakers because I like their fit better. They're a more 'athletic' fit and as such they fit well under all of my clothes plus I can wear them alone to run in instead of traditional running tights.

The quality of Icebreaker is as good as it gets. I have used both and prefer Icebreaker to SW. Regarding your knee brace wearing with wool long underwear...just be careful because they do tend to snag. May you be healthy.
