It is certainly bright enough for trail running but a little too heavy for me. I would suggest something smaller that isn't going to bounce around much.

Yeah, it's a super bright light and would definately keep the trail lit while running. But, if you're looking for the best Princeton Tec trail running headlamp, I'd suggest looking at the FUEL - it's smaller and super bright. A great option.
