I've heard the face of the watch scratches very easily because it's made of some kind of plastic rather than glass/crystal. Has anyone experienced that or does anyone know what the face materials is?

It does scratch up. The watch is really cool and gets lots of compliments. It is cheaply constructed. Water resistance is horrible. Do not swim with it on! Fogs up all the time. Found a crack through housing by upper left button. Looks great functions perfectly... just is all put in a cheap housing.
